“I have had a passion for animals for as long as I can remember. From my first guinea pig to my current

German Shepherds and Great Dane I just feel a natural affinity towards animals and don’t feel like you can beat

the unconditional love they give back”

Clair founded the springboard platform for “Sirius K9s” (wagNwalkies) in 2011 after a successful career in IT left her feeling that there was more to life than servers, issue resolution and upgrades

Following her dream, Clair and her husband Les built up a highly successful business that combines their two true loves of dogs and the great outdoors. Delivering a first class commercial service whilst keeping the welfare of animals as the focus of their attention, Clair and Les literally love what they do

After Les suffered a near fatal motorcycle accident in February 2022, Clair took the decision to return to her true passion of dog walking, thus allowing her to spend more time with her own dogs and crucially the client dogs, rather than just getting snowed under with the admin involved running a large day-care business

Delivering a truly unique concept and service to the area they have raised the bar for pet care over the last 10 years and

pride themselves on giving back to the pet owning community

Clair and Les, as creators and chief organisers of the annual “Barky Malarky Charity Dog Show”,  have held strong with

the messages that; all dogs are equal (be it a beautiful pedigree or quirky mongrel) and that everyone can have fun with their pet. Encouraging local businesses and schools to become involved in spreading the messages, Barky Malarky has grown to become a highly popular event on the Basingstoke social calendar and having had time out since Covid in 2020 they hope to bring it back in 2024

Clair and Les have been lucky to care for many animals in their time and they currently share their lives with three gorgeous rescue dogs Lucy, Lulu & Danny, three rescue cats, and one horse. Having competed to a high level within both Show Jumping and Eventing, Clair now only rides for pleasure but is just as happy doing the ‘dirty jobs’ and spending time with her equine friends as she is actually riding.

Ask Clair what she loves the most though and the answer is immediate, meeting all the new K9 guests of course!!

Clair and all the team are police checked and security vetted and Les spent 22 years as an armed Police Officer, bringing peace of mind that not only are your pets in safe hands but the integrity of your property is too.
